Shine and Soar

What is it that makes hot air balloons so cheerful and fun? Their color and ability to rise through the air and take flight cause fascination in children and adults alike. Imagine for a moment that you are a balloon. What color would you want to be? Would you have a smiley face or a slogan? Where would you want to travel?

Children are like hot air balloons; they are unique, unpredictable, and have budding potential. Children don't all look the same, act the same, or sound the same. It is always interesting to ask a child what they want to be when they grow up: a doctor? a concern pianist? an accountant? Their abilities, passions, and drive play a big part in deciding what is appealing. Children believe they can do great things when they have hope and imagination. We can learn alot from the faith of children.

Our Creator is a combination of parent, coach, and friend. He created us to maintain connection with him. Just like earthly parents, Our Daddy delights when His children thrive and use their God-given talents. God wants us, as sons and daughters of the Most High, to be willing to step out, strive to become who we were created to be, and value others and what they bring to our royal family. As we align and move with vision and purpose, our hot air balloon starts to rise. By calling forth the gifts in each other, all our balloons climb.

Everyone in the kingdom is special and important! Choose to shine and soar!

For the creation waits with eager longing for

the revealing of the sons of God.

Romans 8:19 ESV
